About Waverley Park Lodge

Garry and the team extend a warm friendly welcome to all guests visiting maritime Portsmouth. Our Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Southsea and is perfectly located for visiting all the sights Portsmouth has to offer.

Our refurbished Victorian Guest House has individually designed rooms offering singles, doubles, twins, and family accommodation with your every comfort in mind including en-suites to every bedroom, complimentary beverage facilities, remote control flat screen colour televisions with Freeview, alarm clocks, and your own keys to come and go as you please.

There is no guest house nearer to Albert Road for those of you seeking local entertainment from The Kings Theatre and The Wedgewood Rooms, all within a 5 minute walk. All the ferry ports are also within easy reach as are the seafront and Gunwharf Quays, and we welcome all visitors who need an overnight stopover.

Road Parking Permits are available at £2.00 per day, and an additional £10.00 cash deposit refunded when you check out. You do not need to book parking but a permit is required and obtained from us upon your arrival, during official check-in times. Parking Permits are required between the hours of 16:30-18:30 only, 7 days a week.

Wi-Fi access is available for free across the entire building.

Local Sights and Attractions

The Historic Naval Dockyard, Southsea Castle, the D-Day Museum and Charles Dickens Birthplace must be seen. If this hasn’t worn you out, you can also visit the Blue Reef Aquarium, the Pyramids “fun pools” swimming complex, South Parade Pier and Clarence Pier which has a funfair.

Gunwharf Quays is within easy reach and a popular destination for its designer outlet shops, bustling restaurants, bars and entertainment, not forgetting the impressive Spinnaker Tower which gives stunning views of Portsmouth harbour and surrounding area, the Solent, Gosport, Southampton Waters and the Isle of Wight.

The seafront is only a 10 minute stroll away where you can visit Canoe Lake, the Model Village, the Natural History and Butterfly Museum with free entry, bowling green, pitch & putt, tennis courts and of course the beach.
